VMCC CSS Scholarship Programme 2017

Last call for applicants for the 2017 VMCC CSS Junior Scholarship Programme.
The Victoria Motorcycle Club California Superbike School scholarship programme has been developed to provide recognised training and support for junior riders wanting to excel in road racing.
We understand the difficulties in getting underway in the sport and this programme aims to not only develop race craft and mental preparation, VMCC also supports the development of written material and proactive communication skills, to prepare the applicant for a long successful career in road racing.
Target age group: 15-19
Experience: some road racing experience is preferred, but suitable MX experience will be considered.
Commitment required: Applicants must have their own tidy bike, maintained race ready for the season. They must maintain a positive attitude and provide written race reports and feedback through the duration of the season. Attendance at each round of the Winter Series and associated track days is required.
In return: VMCC will provide full funding covering entry to the winter series and track days, at-track support and personal development. VMCC will provide suitable environment for pitting, training and break out sessions during meetings. Extra training and/or guest speakers around bike preparation, tyres, suspension and wider areas of the sport, will also be provided.
With our partner California Superbike School the scholarship holders will complete level one superbike school training on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th May 2017 at Hampton Downs and receive at track one-on-one support and coaching at each round of the winter series.
The cost to riders is $280.
